I'm not the most informed on Marley, but I never heard of the guy until a few years ago, whereas I'd heard about The Beatles and The Rolling Stones way before then. I figure that if I'd never heard of Marley before high school, he probably didn't have much of an impact back in his heyday. I know it's only anecdotal evidence, but still.
