Behemoth -
The Satanist (2014)
Grabbed this some time ago but for whatever reason never really gave it a listen. I've always respected Behemoth, but I only have one album besides this, their 2007 album
The Apostasy and I can't say I go back and listen to it on a regular basis. Anyways this new album has been making quite a bit of noise with critics and fans, hailing it as a great album and a remarkable album for vocalist Nergal after being diagnosed with leukemia and how he is choosing to handle it. There's a lot of variety and hard riffs on this album, so if you're into metal then this is definitely something to check out, because I believe it will be the token metal album on a lot of AOTY lists, although the new Agalloch and or Opeth albums could take that honour.
