I thought i should make a thread about 2 bands i know and love
The Pixies
Vs
The Violent Femmes
Both similar yet totally different bands,
i thought i'd match them up cause they are both equally good, i honestly can't say one band is better than the other i can only say i prefer one over the other.
And ofc, i choose The Pixies but not by much, if the Pixies never existed the femmes would be my favorite band.
i personally chose the pixies cause to me they are more diverse than the femmes, in the sense that they explored different music like surf or psychedelic music, i know the femmes experiment too but i prefer how the pixies do it.
Regarding vocals i dare say Gordon Gano is a better singer than Charles, i luv his redneck voice, it ranges from very satirical to very soulful.
