Yeah i got super lucky. When it burst I got misdiagnosed (they said it was just a stomach virus). I went back in a week later because the pain hadn't stopped and they said it had burst. Apparently my body "walled off" the appendix itself to prevent the toxins from leaking out and probably killing me. Crazy ****. So I was on antibiotics for a week and a half but I've been off them for a while and been fine since. The only reason I'd need surgery now is to prevent this from happening again I believe, but I could just go without it. The whole thing is nuts I had never heard of something like this before. I kind of don't want surgery just so I could say "my appendix ruptured and I didn't have surgery what up". Bragging rights ya know
