Default Excellent Rock/Metal Compilations

It's one of the best ways to discover new music all at once. I know in this modern world of mp3's and internet and custom playlists, the compilation album has fallen in popularity, but there's those of us who still dig a pre-formed variety!

This was one of the first CD's I ever owned and it's still a pretty decent child headbanger starter album for both mainstream and some less mainstream acts. Actually, to this day, there's some bands where the tracks on here are all I've heard by them. Got me familiar with a lot of the major names of the time.

This one I came across on Rhapsody when searching for Earthless, good album! And major props on the inclusion of Kalas, I never thought I'd see them in a compilation.
