Default Krautrock on MB

Two attitudes seem to recur when people mention Krautrock on MB:-
(i) old-timers who`ve seen it all five years ago groan at the prospect of yet another Krautrock thread
(ii) newcomers can`t find threads about Can or other Krautrock bands and they restart old discussions all over again.

Krautrock is also a genre that people can`t quite decide on, and threads turn up in the avant-garde / metal and prog sections of MB, though the majority of thread starters have chosen this Prog Rock sub-forum for their threads. Anyway, I thought an index might clarify things for Krautrock fans - all they have to do now is find this post, haha.

Krautrock threads:-
http://www.musicbanter.com/avant-gar...utrock-11.html - extensive thread started in 2008
http://www.musicbanter.com/rock-meta...rock-week.html -this worthy thread very quickly became Krautrock For Advanced Students and focuses on the obscure fringes of Krautrock.
http://www.musicbanter.com/avant-gar...-top-10-a.html - good if you want lists of bands; short on analysis
http://www.musicbanter.com/prog-psyc...krautrock.html - a short thread exploring modern bands that aren`t German. Is that still Krautrock?
https://www.musicbanter.com/avant-ga...utrock-me.html - chatty and instructive, an indication of MB as it used to be more than a true guide to Krautrock
