Default Who Is/Was the Craziest Person In All of Music?

Well? For me it's gotta be Varg Vikerness. I know I'm a metalhead, so perhaps I have a vested interest in metal having the number one crazy for... bragging rights, but the dude has seriously taken a sledge hammer to his marbles.

Most everyone on this site probably knows about him killing his bandmate, getting sent to prison, and becoming a neo-Nazi, but that's just scratching the surface of Varg's insanity. Not only does he believe in the Aryan race, but he believes they were genetically engineered by aliens (aka the Norse gods) from the Sirius system and put on Atlantis, which was then destroyed and the Aryans then had to go live amongst the untermensch.

But wait, it gets nuttier. His solution to this? Thousand year reich? Booooring. He wants to take technology out of the hands of all but the elite of society and have people live like they did in the middle ages. Wagons, cloaks (his words), etc. Advanced technology will only be available to these elite, who need it for research centers, factories, power plants, and mines. Why do they need these things if everyone else is going to be living as old school peasants? Why, to leave the Earth and colonize space to escape dwindling resources and the dying sun of course.

He likens this to a fantasy realm in the vein of Tolkien (seriously, he mentions Tolkien by name) where we (the peasants) will live in Middle-Earth and the elites will live like elves who will eventually move to the moon. And what will happen to the inferior races? Why, they'll be turned into dwarves (for mining), trolls, and whatnot (in order to give humanity trials to overcome). There will also be dragons. Seriously. ****ing dragons. If it weren't for the whole Aryan race thing this would actually be pretty bitchin'.

So yeah, beat that Sun Ra.
