Some people are more emotional than others. It takes time for emotions to build up and be released through crying. Why don't people have a cry out at the evening news but cry at the end of a movie? Because I think more time is needed to personally identify with the person to empathize for that person and have it emotionally affect the person witnessing it (even though it is a movie or a historical site). So I think what you said is more true leaving the place then just entering it.
Maybe I am wrong and you are right, but still I see her more of a "normal" girl making a
faux pas than an intensive "idiot" who is the poster-child of her generation.
