Rock is played out to a certain degree. There are tons of new interesting music genres that are far more appealing to the youth of today. They have moved on from 4/4 rock n roll to more aesthetically pleasing music. I'm sure rock will make a comeback at some point, but it has taken a back seat to a different musical path.
