We always view aliens as having humanistic qualities, but what if they didn't even take notice to us? This novel poses such ego destroying concepts, dabbles in a bit of xenology, mind bending consequences of the visitation of an alien civilization, and lots of drinking (It was written by Russians, so of course there is nothing but drinking).

I've been wanting to read this one for a while since I'm such a huge fan of Stalker, which is based off of Roadside Picnic. I'm a little more tempted to check it out now. That Cage book looks interesting as well.
