Well, that album was released before thrash existed, and "power metal" was probably a two minute old term itself, without any real movement behind it. Back in the early eighties American heavy metal was just kind of a hodge podge of bands trying to build off the NWOBHM. There weren't any movements, and new terms like "thrash", and "speed metal", and "power metal", didn't really describe much more than that a band was faster and/or heavier than Iron Maiden.
