When they said Ponder was going to be the starter, you kind of wonder if that wasn't a Rick Spielman decision rather than a Mike Zimmer/Teddy Bridgewater decision. I know they said that they wanted to avoid what happened to RG3 happening to Teddy Bridgewater, but to assume that that's what's going to happen, or even believe that it's likely considering their playing styles, I think is a bit too cautious.

It kind of reminds me of the rules for pitchers in baseball. Stephen Strasberg wasn't even allowed to pitch in the postseason when the Nationals made it for the first time in the history of their franchise. They lost, but the FO stood by the decision despite criticism from the public.

This rarely happened before science started making it's way into sports, but I guess in a way it's effective. It's also probably how the league will be almost completely stripped of it's physicality.
