100 Hits: Punk & New Wave

This has been in my library for a while: a 5-disc compilation of various early punk and new wave songs. I've never really listened to all of it, but that's not what I intend to do. Not now, anyway. Instead, I'm going to check out albums by the bands represented and review them briefly. The bands represented are:

Spoiler for long-ass list:
Blondie
Buzzcocks
Sex Pistols
Skids
Magazine
The Members
The Ruts
Department S
Public Image Ltd
The Stranglers
Devo
Lene Lovich
The Motors
The Flying Lizards
Adam and the Ants
Dr. Feelgood
Tenpole Tudor
Rich Kids
Ian Dury
Be-Bop Deluxe
Jona Lewie
Ultravox
Fad Gadget
Simple Minds
The Human League
Bill Nelson
Silicon Teens
The Vapors
Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft
Suicide
Gang of Four
Modern Eon
Killing Joke
Scars
Martha and the Muffins
Wire
999
Stiff Little Fingers
U.K. Subs
Angelic Upstarts
The Saints
Leyton Buzzards
Tom Robinson Band
Chris Spedding
The Vibrators
Penetration
Cockney Rejects
Wreckless Eric
The Knack
The Alarm
Holly and the Italians
The Records
The Flys
The Banned
Celia and the Mutations
Ian Dury
The Specials
The Bodysnatchers
The Beat
Fun Boy Three
UB40
The Saints
Stiff Little Fingers
X-Ray Spex
Honey Bane
The Monochrome Set
Plasmatics

Of course, I won't cover all of the bands, just some of them (I'm not Trollheart), but I think it will be a nice way to familiarize myself with old-school punk rock.
