Well stated 'Janszoon'. I completely agree that we NEVER referred to 80's hard rock as "hair metal" when we were kids. That label was placed on the music AFTER it's heyday for nostalgic reasons I imagine, fairly or unfairly. And compilations as well courtesy of the record labels re-selling the music simply to exploit it as a joke, hence the PEJORATIVE term "hair metal". Great comment ( ).
