Anyway, I agree, it's a great album. For me it's pretty much tied for first place in their catalog with Reign in Blood.

It basically took the last two albums and found a comfortable medium without really making a musical statement that they hadn't already made. They peaked with
RIB, and while they were running out of steam as far as innovation was concerned with
South of Heaven, they still went outside their comfort zone. Creatively speaking, I think
Seasons In the Abyss was a bit of a bunt. A great bunt though.
