Huh? Your title, basically. You say you don't get it, what causes people to listen to violent music, then end by saying what would music be like if musicians weren't violent? Are you agreeing or disagreeing with your own question? Also, have you never listened to classical, ambient, or any sort of gentle acoustic music? pop? Prog? Funk? Reggae? Jazz? AOR? The amount of singers who are "violent" in their lyrics, outside of extreme metal -- maybe hip hop and punk, I don't know enough to make that assumption --- is I would think quite minimal. So what's your point, or is there one? And are ye for it or agin it?
