I was talking about violent content, not protest songs. Think of all the operas that tell violent stories or all the murder ballads from the worlds of country and blues. I agree obviously that there's plenty of music out there without violent content, but I was just pointing out that it exists in a variety of genres, not just extreme metal and hip hop.
