For me it's probably J. G. Thirlwell. Not only is his music unique, diverse and amazing sounding, but he's really influenced both how I listen to music and how I make music. He opened my eyes to how the studio can be its own instrument and how a bunch of small things that sound rough, awkward and ugly on their own can be arranged in ways that sound fantastic.
