Corin's voice and the vocal interplay between Corin and Carey can take some getting used to, but once you're hooked, you are HOOKED. I hope, with these re-releases, they will gain a new generation of fans. Can't wait for the new album!

I wouldn't be too sure about this, in 2005 gender prejudices in alternative music wouldn't have been too significant compared to when they were starting out. I find that even discussing gender prejudices in music in 2014 is a pointless exercise, particularly in this context where Sleater-Kinney have already proved their musical worth regardless of gender.
It was The Woods which got me hooked though and when I moved on to Dig Me Out I was shortly grabbing the rest of their back catalogue. And yes, Carrie and Corin's interplay is what makes the band for me.
