yea well that'd probably be better than a year in jail but good luck convincing the public to ok that sort of thing. i don't think breaking his legs is called for. cats are pretty durable, i doubt he seriously injured that cat. but he could probably use an ass kicking.
edit: i thought we evolved beyond 'an eye for an eye'.
