that doesn't bother me. i am lucky to be born in a country where its easy as **** to get by. i am sheltered from the worst that this world has to offer and glad for it. but basically you learn through observation the rules of engagement when it comes to nature. if you still catch feelings over **** then it seems to me you either haven't learned or are a masochist.

"Sheltered", though... hahaha. My, that's a good one. I pity sheltered people because they're always going to get burned and taken advantage of, because they're so dependent on their families and comfortable little social constructs that keep everything they stupidly envelop themselves in perfectly intact. Can't think for themselves because they don't know how. It's just sad. Their mentality is a constant state of "mother, may I?"
maybe we have different ideas of sheltered.

I think I remember reading that he's dealt with the loss of a parent firsthand, which could have been traumatizing or it could have been a neutral experience (depending on his relationship with that person) but something tells me his misanthropy is a manufactured byproduct of his youth.
i don't hate people. it's more like when you start to notice the way **** works you get a kick out of it. like my ex wouldn't watch nature docs cause she didn't like the brutality and suffering. i thought they were fascinating. not that i like to make **** suffer but i love the competitive and cut throat aspect of it.

losing my dad wasn't a really big deal in shaping my perception tbh. death comes for all of us eventually. his was a little early but that's life.
