I am aware that for a lot of Metallica enthusiasts, the low production values of earlier albums are part of what made those albums so great, I do understand that. But I have always wondered why a band as big as Metallica, for their entire career, lack that production that you'd expect their albums to have. I can only come to the conclusion that the band likes their albums to sound like they were recorded in a big ass garbage can. Well, good for them.
