On the topic of recording and mixing, I was wondering if anyone can refer me to a good DVD or channel or something that covers a lot of the basics for things like that. My step-dad wants to get into this more and he doesn't really know of a good place to start, nor do I. I just play guitar for kicks. He seems mainly concerned about getting the vocals to sound right with the rest of the song. I've learned that forums can be the best place to get a kick-start for just about anything; hoping you guys can be of help. He's rocking Ableton Live and Reaper atm.
