Here's my review of the album using the new Q&A list...

What were your impressions of this album after the first five minutes?

Lo-Fi pop/psych.

Did those first impressions change as you listened to the album?

Not really.

Were the opening 2-3 tracks or the closing 2-3 tracks stronger?

I preferred the opening 2-3.

Did you find you enjoyed this album more or less on repeated listens?

Listened to it 3 times and it did seem to grow on me after the first listen.

What was your favourite track?

Hand of Stone. I liked the Bo Diddley beat and electric slide guitar in it.

What was your least favourite track?

Fracas on West Street. Seemed like an unfocused mess.

What did you think of the variety of tracks presented?

Good variety overall. Kept me interested in the album.

How would you describe the overall mood?

Mostly upbeat pop/psych with a Lo-Fi sound.

Would you listen to it again for purposes other than this club?

Probably.

How well do you know this band/artist?

This was the first album I can recall ever hearing from them. Not familiar with any of their other work.

If you're familiar with this band/artist, how does this album compare to their other work?

N/A

How would you improve this album?

Better production.

Would you recommend this album to a friend?

If they enjoy this type of music, yes.

Will you be exploring this band/artists' other material?

I'll probably look into some more of their work at some point.

What did you think of the vocals?

Not great, not bad either.

What did you think of the instrumentation?

Same as above.

What did you think of the production?

Primitive Lo-Fi sound. Works better on some tracks than others.

Any other thoughts to share?

Some of the songs reminded me of early Cure tunes.

Rate the album out of ten. No decimals!

7/10
