It should be no surprise when a band like The Flavr Blue (link) comes along and, with an 8-song EP called Bright Vices, manages both to impress and to confuse. This is dance floor music with strong ties to today’s techno and the electronic R&B of the late ’90s/early ’00s without sounding too beholden to either one.
