I consider myself an exception to this rule.
I'm an exceptionally skilled actress on the job. I don't give a f
uck about anyone I meet at work. I don't want to know what they're looking for, why they're looking for it, who they're shopping for, or anything at all about them.
Here's the blouses, there's the shoes, now fuck off and let me do my job.
My customers have no idea. Most of them completely adore me. I can only think of a few occasions where I've issued a smackdown on idiot customers, but for the most part I have the "totally invested in customer service" act down.
