Thanks for the comment. I agree, melody is not my strongest area as of yet, I'm a sucker for interesting rhythms. I guess the dissonant sounds will probably be off putting for some, but I'm not too worried about that. And yes, I need to gain some greater understanding of the various software used, as this really my first time trying something like this. A commercial sound is honestly not a route that bothers me too much, I'm not making for that, but I can see you're point about this being unappealing to a certain type of listener.
