For me personally, as someone who is actually missing a foot, a huge part of my life is explaining to people that it really isn't that big a deal and that I don't wish I had both feet and that people shouldn't look sad or apologize if it comes up that I don't. I used to get called brave or inspiring - it happens less than it used to because I basically never wear shorts anymore - and it's not nice, it's insulting. You can say "You shouldn't act like you have problems because other people have more serious problems," and I don't know that I agree with that, but please please please stop making statements that make disability out to be a problem (side note: science is really cool and because of it, missing a foot barely affects my day-to-day life), something you're thankful not to have, or something that's there to serve you. Don't objectify us because you're trying to say something deep.

(I'm aware, Chula, that that's not your line originally. My point stands nonetheless - don't spread ableism.)
