But doesn't The Blues (as an artform) throw diatonic theory out the window? ...and because so many POPULAR genres (including R&B, Gospel Soul, Soul, Funk, Blues Rock, etc) are all derivitives of the Blues, how can anyone really predict how things will evolve in Western Music?
Also -- i admire the idea you are proposing, but by having people contribute to purposefully "invent" a next evolution in music sort-of forces fate's hand and risks the danger of sounding contrived
