Both have elements of all of them but I think the primary influences are the main difference.

i see it as grime being a derivative of rap music really with the influence of the dancehall/dnb/garage/whateverthe**** showing up in the production. i'm just saying that rap is regional even in the states yet it only ever became a different genre in england
