I like Slade, sort of! First read about them in a secondhand copy of Lillian Roxon's Rock Encyclopedia in the early '80s and bought Play It Loud on vinyl at Colony Records in NYC where they had a Slade poster on the wall in all their glorious buffoonery.

Early Slade is still the best, I think.
