There's plenty of sluts around. I've been friends with them, had sex with them, etc. I'm not interested in dating them though. I find that there's usually underlying issues to why they sleep around as well in addition to me finding it sleazy and awkward.

The meaning of sex is different to everyone, just because it's intimate for you doesn't mean everyone attaches emotion to it. Maybe it's because they are comfortable enough to not be ashamed of enjoying orgasms.
Edit: Having sex with multiple partners is also a good way to learn about your own sexuality.
