i don't disagree with this solution but from what i've heard about this case, if it went down the way the officer says it went down, the kid was acting like a maniac and got himself shot. it's easy to to say he didn't 'deserve' to die but at the end of the day we have to let cops use lethal force when they think the threat warrants it and this means that sometimes people who may not 'deserve' to die will die for acting erratically. it's just the nature of the job.
