Excellent psychological horror from Australia. It's hard to believe that it's Jennifer Kent's first film, because it's probably the best contemporary horror movie I've seen in years. There's no jump scares, no gore, and no shrill, over-loud score - just a sense of creeping dread mixed with moments of sheer primal terror.
