When She Was Good
Verse 1
This girl who lived in my hometown was as sweet as can be
She was so gentle that she never harmed a flea
Now everyone knows she's a completely different person
If you were a stranger to her, she would treat you like a friend
It did not matter who you were
You'd still get her attention
These days she could care less of what happens to others
Verse 2
If you needed help, she'd be there for you
Other people came first
Now she wouldn't even give you the time of day
She would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation
Verse 3
I never once saw her cry or act out in anger
Now she's confrontational and doesn't care if she pisses people off
She and her lover cause trouble wherever they go
She's the talk of the town but doesn't give a damn
Chorus
When she was good, little kids looked up to her as a role model
But she fell in love with a bad boy
And now she's just like him in every way
