I did not know about Sam Smith's obsessive-compulsive disorder. Maybe that *does* inspire his somewhat anxious viewpoint on relationships repeated in his songs! In "Stay With Me," he acknowledges that he knows that pleading with someone to stay with him isn't going to work (to create love), but he does it again and again. OCD? Hmmm...
Which reminds me, why does the video that involves Sam Smith's singing "Stay With Me" show him as he is LEAVING some man after a one night stand?? That's a perplexing question to keep us up nights.
I think the woman in Sam Smith's "I'm Not The Only One" video needs a good divorce lawyer so she can slap the documents before her philandering husband and require that the house be left in her possession and
he be forced to leave.

There are a few songs I can hardly stand to listen to in their entirety, so by that measure, "Stay With Me" is better. I've actually listened to it several times. Not happily, but I listened!

I also abhor Passenger's "Let Her Go."
I wrote a very nice rant about "Let Her Go" of which I'm quite proud (

I will have to listen to more Bruno Mars songs in the hopes that I'll hate some.
