I could do that. I'm somewhat satisfied with that category, but I could boot Rage Against the Machine. I like having some diversity on the list, and I like them as a singles band, but I'm not so sure about their albums. I'm also wondering if I shouldn't put Prong in that category, as while they have industrial elements, I think their sound as a whole fits better in alternative. KMFDM could then get their spot.

****. I just realized I snubbed Danzig. Can't have that, but they're too singular to comfortably add anywhere. I wouldn't really call them sludge or doom. Maybe alt metal is vague enough so I can bump Helmet or one of the grunge-associated bands.

And is it just me, or is the thread having more fun debating my lists than they are voting? When the lists are finalized this thread might die. Can't have that. We'll have to have a knockdown, dragout fight over black metal soon.
