49. Judas Priest - British Steel - (1980)




I've heard it said that the more important the individual, the shorter the introduction. I mean, when someone presents Barrack Obama, all that is required is, "Ladies and gentlemen... the President of the United States." So the only thing that really needs to be said about one of the biggest and most influential albums of all time is that when it was released, nobody had ever succeeded half so well at combining straight up metal with pop sensibilities. "Breaking the Law", "Metal Gods", "Living After Midnight"... do I really need to go on?
