Why? The best jokes are often the ones that you don't get at first, and require you to actually think to understand them. It's much more satisfying that way.

I know it isn't, which is why I put it in my signature. Insults are just as telling (if not even more so) than compliments, whether or not they tell more about the insulted or the one who insults.
