I dunno how familiar you are with the background, so here are the basics.
Alan Parsons: Studio sound engineer, worked with The Beatles on their last two albums, best known for his Grammy-winning work on
Dark Side of the Moon. Also, if you know "Year of the Cat" by Al Stewart, he added all the violin and saxophone and stuff, thus making it one of the best songs ever. Reinvented The Hollies' sound too. Turned down an offer from Floyd for
Wish You Were Here to stsrt his own project.
The idea is, it's not about the performer(s), it's about the producer.
