The bigger point is that, again you want your idols to feel like you do.
Which wont sell records to the masses. The masses want to be entertained, and while you are entertined by it sadly the other hundreds of millions of ppl also buying the record are not entertained by it at all. Being a social justice warrior and a political animal are not revered traits in this industry of cool. There isn't any fanfare and money to be made with glamorous past times like bombing banks, picket lines, and million man marches. You gotta accept the world that you live in.Part of the folly of youth is running around fighting the power like a rebel without a clue, which is a good thing because it means deep down inside you're not a sucka and can think for yourself, but part of the wisdom of age is accepting the reality of what is.Im not saying you can't be a social justice warrior, a political animal,or a stand up gal. What Im saying is exspect that road to be a long, dark and LONELY road because real change is born in the hearts of few, fought for, bled for,and even died for before its ever accepted by many. You are addressing the wrong issue sister, its not why do pop stars not give a ****. Its why does my fellow man NOT GIVE A ****. Instead of your ego wanting the change to come from somewhere with smoke and mirrors, glitz and glam with millions chanting the chorus in unison, the change sadly will come from the trenchs with only the sound of struggle.
