How many bands nowadays consider Floyd a influence, very few, i can only name some at the top of my head...Muse, Radiohead, Mars Volta, Secret Machines, Coldplay, Porcupine Tree, etc.

*sigh* that has nothing to do with it, a band can have tons of fans and not have millions of bands that sound like it.
