alright. i'll respect that cause it's honest

this is how i see it

the beat is dark as ****, sets the perfect tone for some hardcore east coast projects type rap tales

the lyrics are similar to the beats in that they don't try too hard to come up with witty one liners or any **** like that they just keep it focused on the main theme which is basically a sort of nihilistic version of thug life. bragging the **** too as part of his armor yet you can hear the undertones of pain because he doesn't dress it up and try to make it pretty

i mean what better way to open a song about street life than this:
Quote:
I'm yawning while i wake up to the early morning gun fire
Another day another scar to acquire
Jumped out my bed, tried to break my alarm
Took a shower, and then I strapped on my firearm
Grabbed my Pelle Pelle cause I wanna look fly when I die,
But it ain't my time to say goodbye
How do I know? Some people call it instinct
I like to call it my luck, who gives a ****
p is ****in wilin out on this track lol

Quote:
I'm stuck, in this environment and can't depart from it
And if I try I always end up back where I started
Plan A, square 1, there's no escapin'
So I've come to realize my truth
Tryna live my full life until my time is through
Clocks tickin', so I don't got no time for you
As I head outside, amongst the rest of the animals
Is where I feel relaxed and safe and I can stand still
It's sorta like a family bond
We gather up all the soldiers and form into an invincible
swarm of kids, now it's on again, drinking straight from the bottle,
warm gin dripping down my chin
honestly man it's like he takes this niche and distills it into the finest liquor
