I hardly ever throw in the marsh anymore, and usually only a little bit in, but everyone loses discs in there. No matter how good you are, there are just so many trees that eventually you're gonna hit one and your disc goes sailing off into god knows where. Sometimes you'll be able to see your disc clear as day, but it'll be so far out that all you can do is stare at it in despair. There are also trees on those holes where you gotta throw over the marsh.

Hanging right over the right side of the middle of the marsh, on both holes, there are tree branches that will simply drop your disc straight down, or send it careening off to the left into marsh hell. They're not even that hard to hit, and if you do, you're probably ****ed.

Make it past those, and on Hole 7 there are trees on the far bank handing just far enough to knock your disc into the marsh. Not too far normally, but if the marsh grass is high enough then there's a decent chance you won't even be able to see your disc unless you stumble on it. And you generally try not to walk out that far unless you actually know where it is. That's who you lose shoes.

It's like a rite of passage for every disc golfer where I live whenever they first throw from the whites on those holes (reds don't make you do it). Never even attempted the blues. Probably never will. It almost gives you vertigo thinking of throwing from them on those holes.

Only food we have are Water Moccasins. And we're grateful.
