Here's my latest review...

What were your impressions of this album after the first five minutes?

80's garage/psych rock.

Did those first impressions change as you listened to the album?

No.

Were the opening 2-3 tracks or the closing 2-3 tracks stronger?

No preference either way.

Did you find you enjoyed this album more or less on repeated listens?

It grew on me a little with repeated listens. A slow burner.

What was your favourite track?

The second track 'Prisoners' it had a sort of a Doors/60's Pink Floyd combination to it which I liked quite a bit.

What was your least favourite track?

The first track 'You Are My Friend' not bad but I thought it sounded a bit bland and commercial.

What did you think of the variety of tracks presented?

Not a lot of variety but just enough within the songs to keep it interesting.

How would you describe the overall mood?

Rather melancholy.

Would you listen to it again for purposes other than this club?

Possibly.

How well do you know this band/artist?

Have heard several of their songs but never listened to an entire album by them.

If you're familiar with this band/artist, how does this album compare to their other work?

N/A

How would you improve this album?

Can't think of anything at the moment.

Would you recommend this album to a friend?

If they have an interest in 80's psych rock

Will you be exploring this band/artists' other material?

I may at some point.

What did you think of the vocals?

Not bad but probably the weakest point within the album.

What did you think of the instrumentation?

Good but nothing spectacular.

What did you think of the production?

Same as above.

Any other thoughts to share?

Hadn't heard this band since the mid 80's and had forgotten about them. Listening to this album, I can see why they didn't make much of an impression on me at the time. They're OK but nothing about them really stood out in my mind.

Rate the album out of ten. No decimals!

7/10
