Seems like I'm going to have to make a stink with my apartment management office.
A week ago my downstairs neighbor knocked on my door saying there was water coming from her bathroom ceiling. I had just taken a bath. The super came up, found zero water on the floor (I'm a f*cking adult), and found that the drainage stopper was loose and was letting water into the wall below the tub and down into her bathroom. The next day he tightened the stopper.
I just got a letter stating that I'm responsible for the damages due to my "tub overflow".
1 - That didn't happen.
2 - I'm a renter. I don't own this place. Unless I start filling up the tub and then decide to take a nap, letting the water overflow into the floor, I'm not responsible for that sh*t.
3 - It took them over a week to fix my ceiling lights, which didn't work, and they still haven't fixed my AC, which doesn't work.
This is not a good sign two weeks after moving in. Luckily my downstairs neighbor is a crazy Russian woman. She literally told me to tell them to f*ck off, that she'll paint the walls herself and that I can help cause I'm tall. I'm like, hell yeah lady. I like you.
Still, I hope this isn't a sign of bad sh*t to come.
