As someone who doesn't understand Chinese I've had kind of a hard time deciphering whether things I like are single artists or if they're compilations, but I can tell you at least one album that I really like which I believe fits into the "silk and bamboo" genre of music that it seems like you're talking about
:
Shànghǎi Mínzú Yuètuán (Shanghai traditional ensemble)—Jiangnan Sizhu (Moon and Lanterns)
I also have this two disc album that's labeled simply GuZheng—
High Mountain Flowing Water (just the name of the instrument and the title of the first track) which I can't seem to find anywhere online anymore. But if you happen to find it, it's pretty good.
I have a few erhu-focused albums too but those don't seem like they're quite what you're looking for.
