Sounds like a cool idea, although a week is a rather short time to digest an entire discography. I'd go for it, and if people are interested, they'll participate.
Fifteen posts in the music forums are required before you can post links (to prevent spamming), but that shouldn't be a problem for you to achieve. Just don't litter threads with single-word responses.
