No that's not the case. He mentions he forgot about his journal but has stuff written up, that he hasn't posted for a while but is getting back to it. Maybe I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt but it looks like he's preparing to get back to making entries. If not then I'll be left with Picard on my face, but that's how it looks to me.
Anyway, it really worked for the "Back from the dead" thing which formed a backdrop to the whole "Walking Dead" theme this week...
