What does Rumors have to do with any of those? Not quite sure you listen to music for yourself more of a "because everyone else does" type of person. And Thriller was mediocre doesn't deserve half of the praise and Dark Side of The Moon wasn't Floyd at their finest. Led Zeppelin stole songs from other bands especially on IV. Most notably Stairway to Heaven which was stolen from Spirit's song Taurus.

Not really. It's overrated to the point where people like it just because other people like it. It's sad. At any rate what I'm trying to say is their older material was better.
